ITINERARY
Our chauffeur will pick you up from accommodation to the jetty. Boat or Helicopter transfer (Depending on your package) to Praslin Island-(Almost 100 years ago, General Gordon (of Khartoum) visited Praslin and became convinced he had found the original Garden of Eden. He developed this theory when he saw the strange shape of the infamous ‘Coco de Mer’. This enormous coconut is shaped like a female pelvis, which he then identified with Eve. These nuts only grow naturally on the giant palm trees in the Vallée de Mai National Park. They can be seen on the nature trails through the forest, along with the insect-eating pitcher plant, vanilla orchids,as well as rare birds – the Seychelles bulbul, fruit pigeon and the black parrot, many indigenous to Praslin. Praslin is also famous for its white sandy beaches. To mention are Anse Lazio, frequently voted one of the world’s best beaches, and also the fabulous Cote d’Or beach. Most beaches offer safe swimming and excellent snorkeling among the living corals, which are home to an amazing nine hundred species of fish).
The tour on Praslin is inclusive of visit to Vallee De Mai (UNESCO world heritage site) and Anse Lazio (one of the best beaches in the world).
After approximately 3 hours on this amazing Island, we will be heading to the enormous beauty of La Digue Island (15 mins boat transfer to La Digue)– (Close neighbor to Praslin and to its satellite islands of Félicité, Marianne and the Sisters Islands, La Digue is the fourth largest island in Seychelles. La Digue takes its name from one of the vessels in explorer Marion Dufresne’s fleet, sent by the French to explore Seychelles’ granitic islands in 1768. La Digue is an island where time stands still and time-honored traditions such as travelling by ox-cart and bicycle are still king. Traditional methods of boat building and refining of coconut products (copra) are still practiced on La Digue. The friendly atmosphere of this intimate island with its languid pace of life, traditional architecture and breathtaking beaches, such as legendary Anse Source d’Argent, one of the most beautiful beach in the world).
La Digue is where you will enjoy our authentic local Lunch/BBQ and other delicacies. After lunch you will be transfer to L’Union Estate (Vanilla Plantation & Coconut Oil Factory) + Anse Source D’argent (one of the most beautiful beach in the world) where you will relax/swim 45mins and back to the jetty where your crew will transport you back to Mahe and back to accomodation.
